Full Circle Furniture.

Whole tree design and millwork

We began this journey to save dying trees on our new property. To give them a new life. Now guided by the art & sculpture my grandfather once created, it has proved a worthwhile endeavor.

Plum table - Full Circle Design

How does Full Circle Furniture work?

  • We can build furniture from hazard removal, standing dead, dying, diseased and newly felled trees. Many of the trees we save are not commercially viable for lumber. However for furniture they have many inherent benefits and beautiful characteristics that we are able to enjoy.

  • Lead times for full circle furniture projects are dependent on several factors.

Vacuum kiln drying takes an average of 6-8 weeks and our typical production time is 12-14 weeks on average, with some projects taking longer.

We also offer solar kiln drying, a gentle, natural process that is available on a relaxed timeline.

Many wood species will benefit from gentle air drying and rushing the production process is not advised.

We may be able to accommodate a condensed timeline, please contact for details.

  • We do not perform tree work - however we do work with trusted arborist partners (or your own arborist) to remove and save trees for Full Circle production.

  • Upon agreeing on project terms - we will typically perform a site survey or visit ( this can also be done remotely if desired).

Once the trees are felled, we will pickup the logs or arrange for transportation to our mill. Logs are milled quickly to preserve material and sent immediately to a vacuum kiln.

Vacuum kilns are capable of drying very quickly and without defect, allowing us to begin the building process quicker.

Once your material leaves the kiln we will begin the building process!

  • Initial design and project survey requires a $1000/deposit. We will survey your site, provide a detailed plan/proposal and initial design outlines.

There may be additional fees for projects outside of our normal range (100 miles from 12545) and scope (very large or commercial projects).

  • Producing usable wood from your trees is not as costly as you might imagine. Typically material can be produced from around $10/bdf - which is about the median cost of commercially available lumber (depending on species and other factors).

  • Please choose from our catalog of designs or come up with your own! We welcome customizations and designs for our Full Circle furniture.

Custom design work is available in house or you may provide finished architectural designs (fabrication considerations in provided designs must be discussed before acceptance).
